I did the very same thing last week — created a wordpress blog. I couldn’t decide what to do, and then I realized that with the new blogger you can change colors and fonts and I decided to stay — the customization on blogger is fun and I don’t want the hassle of changing. But it does make sense to me if you do change (and I still might). As for the look of the blog — truthfully, I care about what you write, not so much what the blog looks like. This one looks fine if you decide wordpress is easier to use.
I’m with Quillhill on this one. There’s nothing wrong with it, and like Dorothy said, it’s the writing that matters. But I wouldn’t fork over money just to be able to tinker with the HTML. Have you considered Typepad or Squarespace? I think those paid blogging platforms give you a thirty-day trial or something like that. Considering the popularity of Typepad, it might be worth it.
Welcome to WordPress, Stefanie! I’ll update my bookmark with glee (If you stay, WP will have scored a major coup ) . For me, the best part about switching from Blogger to WordPress is that I didn’t have to use third party tools for things like blogrolls and site metering.
It looks like you are self-hosted, which means that you’ll have an amazing array of WordPress themes and plugins to choose from. I’m on WP.com, so I can’t use most of them, but I’ve seen what people can do with a self-hosted blog, and it makes me think about buying a domain.
Thank you Polaris! And I will definitely be staying. You are right about the third party tools and blogger. I only wish I could have imported my blogger comments with the posts but since I used Haloscan I couldn’t transfer them over.
WordPress is actually hosting my domain so I don’t have all the bells and whistles available but I don’t mind so much at the moment since I am still having fun playing with all the stuff that is available. Maybe once the newness wears off I will look into be able to do more.
Mmmmmmm!
It looks very cold and generic and administrative.
I like the WordPress site, primarily because I find the Blogger branding on the top annoying.

Thanks for the input!
Definitely WordPress. Or Typepad. Or Squarespace. Anything but Blahgger!
I used to have Blogger and converted. The Dashboard is cool, as are the othre features which affect the user experience.
Well, looks like this one is the keeper, huh? I like it. There’s something to be said for having your own domain name.
Thanks Brandon. I do believe I will be keeping this one. Eventually I’ll be figuring out the css, but for now, this will work.
Love the new site! Like the orange!
Blogger’s nice because it’s free, but it is kind of blah…
Thanks Wil!
