I’m glad you posted about it, since you’ve clarified things for me. I didn’t pick up on the abortion implications; as I read the story, I kept thinking that “operation” referred to some military or spying operation! So I thought they were like a “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” kind of couple, doing assassinations for one of the world wars. Silly, huh?
