School is taking up my time this evening but I thought I would note that I saw three unassociated people on the train this morning each reading a different Stieg Larsson book. I had a desire to force them to all sit together just see what would happen.

I love it when I see people reading in public.
That is so funny.
A while ago a woman sat across from me at a Starbucks — this area where separate couch-type chairs are set out around a central table. She was reading one of the Stieg Larsson books [they all look the same, sort of]. Soon she left, and the very next person [also a woman] sat down, same chair, with a different Larsson book. I was amazed. Someone is making a serious fortune from these posthumously published works!
Too funny. What are the chances of that happening? I really do feel like the only person not to have read any of those books!
Mrs. DeRaps, I love to see people read in public too. Minneapolis is a very literate city and since I take public transportation downtown every day I have the pleasure of seeing lots of people reading.
Cipriano, I wonder if you had waited longer if another woman would have sat in the chair with another Larsson book? I don’t know if Larsson had children but if he did they must be pretty rich by now.
Danielle, I know, what are the odds? I don’t think they noticed each other they were all so wrapped up in their books. Don’t feel left out, I haven’t read Larsson either!
Given how many people each day (approx. 10) ask for Stieg Larsson at my shop, I’m not surprised by this. But I would like to be party to your science experiment and put them all together – explosion of conversation or cultural black hole?
Love that Stef. Kind of funny. Good observer….
That is hysterical!
I love this. Ah to have a picture of all these riders together would be perfect wouldn’t it? Kind of perfect for the Kertesz photography book
LOL! LOL!
It’s like a scavenger hunt – ultimate prize – all 7 Harry Potter’s being read in a row.
Colleen, I knew the guy was popular but I had no idea he was that popular!
Helen, it was one of those things I couldn’t help but notice
Jennie, the simple amusements of readers
Iliana, hehe, I didn’t think of a photograph. If only they had all sat next to each then I might have thought of it!
Litlove, oh this made me laugh! All seven Harry Potter’s would definitely be the ultimate prize!
I bet the ones reading the first two would have been reading over the shoulder of the person reading the Hornet’s Nest.
I love to see what people are reading on public transport, but I’m too chicken to ask if they like it.
sam, heh, I like to spy on people on public transport as well, obviously, but never ask about what they are reading either
