It’s been a hard week for school and as a consequence I haven’t been able to read much. I offer this evening a few items that might be of interest.
From my sister, this one is for people with a thing for writer’s houses. You now have your choice of four posters that each have an illustration of a writer’s home on it. There is Edward Gorey, Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickinson, and Flannery O’Connor. They are $20 each and supplies are limited.
For those of you who love historic maps, the digital library Maps Etc is for you.
I just heard about the Old Spice Guy’s videos on YouTube in response to Tweets he has received today. They are a hoot. But best of all, there is a library one:
(And because there seems to be a problem with WordPress today, here is the direct link to the video in case it isn’t appearing above Old Spice Guy on libraries)
Heh. I have happy memories of Old Spice. Not the commercials per se, but going Christmas or Father’s Day shopping with my sister and picking out the biggest bottle of Old Spice Cologne for our dad that our not always carefully saved allowance could get us. Ah those were the days.
Have good weekend everyone!
Oh that’s (Old Spice on Libraries) is a hoot. Thanks for posting. And, I hope next week is not as hard! Cheers.
Thanks for the links, Stefanie. I’m especially curious about the posters and maps… I’ve been looking for some stuff for my studio so I’ll have to see if I find something there.
Have a great weekend!
I love that man. Just saying.
You always have the best links! I love the author’s houses! Hope you have a nice weekend and don’t have to fill it with too much school work!
whisperinggums, glad you like Old Spice guy. And thanks!
Iliana, I hope you find something good at the map library
Miss Rosemary, he’s adorable, isn’t he?
Danielle, thanks!
She writes short; I write long; but your post made me suddenly realize that I need not a drawing of, but a photo/poster of, Dickinson’s house.
