Today I am over at Postcards from Asia. Delia interviewed me for her blog! In case you don’t know Delia, she lives in Thailand and loves books and dark chocolate — a woman after my own heart! So pop over for the interview and a browse of Delia’s wonderful blog.

Nicely done. Twelve years is a long, long time in blogging-years. Do you feel like a blogging pioneer? You surely must have been among the first to start a book blog. Congrats.

Sam, thanks! I don’t feel like a pioneer, there were some pretty well established book blogs when I began and while some are gone, others are still going. I do feel like an early adopter though and it has been exciting watching the number of book blogs grow and grow. I definitely don’t feel lonely anymore!

Thank you for being my guest this month, Stefanie.
I forgot to mention: you’re getting a tattoo?? You are courageous. Looking forward to the blog post. The quote you chose is wonderful.

Thanks Delia! Yes, I’ll be getting the tattoo probably in March or April if I can manage to wait that long since I am so excited about it. I already have a couple so the experience is a familiar one 🙂

Ah, so it’s not something new. You’ve been courageous before. 🙂 I’ve wanted one too but not sure about the pain, and the hygiene…I get a lot of crazy ideas so I keep postponing it.

The pain is not so bad. It’s kind of a focused burning sensation sort of like the one you get if you rip a bandaid off your arm. Hygiene is the easy part, just keep it clean and it heals up pretty quick. Start with something small on a fleshy part of your body (the closer you are to bone the more it hurts) and you may find it can be rather addictive!

When I said hygiene I was thinking about the needle. Maybe I worry too much. Thanks for the tips.

Oh! If you go to a reputable place you will get a sterile needle. You’re artist will very likely even take it out of the packaging and put it into the gun while you are sitting there so you can see it is brand new and never used. 🙂

Great interview. I am a retired librarian and cat lover. I learned a lot about you and your likes. I too started blogging to share my love of books with others. Drop by sometime. http://asthepageturns-page.blogspot.com

Congrats on the interview – A bit late but finally got to read it. Always enjoy getting to know you a bit more! And, I need to add The Buried Giant to my TBR list. Not that I want a book that will make me cry but I feel like that book has gotten so many mixed reviews.

Iliana, thanks! I know The Buried Giant got a real mix of reviews but I loved it and the ending had me crying rivers!

Loved the interview — I agree re the blogging community. You can’t comment on them all, but finding a few that click and commenting regularly is really special I think. Iloved your desert island answer. The solar energy cracked me up because that’s always been the concern re an e-book … you are so hip!
