I am heading off to book group tonight but I had to tell you about a cool thing Penguin Random House is doing. Through April 23rd, when you read timed excerpts Penguin will donate up to 300,000 books to Save the Children. There are dozens and dozens of books to choose from in fiction, nonfiction, YA and kids. And you can choose five to ten minutes of reading or up to an hour. A great way to sample books and do something good in the process!
Have fun!
I hope to be back tomorrow with a book group report. It was a kind of depressing chapter that made me think no matter where I live I just might be f-ed. I am hoping the book groupies will convince me otherwise.
Ooh, wonderful! Thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks for posting this.
It seems like a good idea and a worthy thing to participate in. I will join in later.

Brian Joseph, I’ve been so busy I haven’t even had time for a 5 minute excerpt yet, but I’m hoping I’ll get some time in this weekend!

I didn’t read about this until after the event. Did you manage to do it?
