David Grayson was born in 1885 and, after a few years of college, he went on to live an interesting life. He served in World War I as an ambulance driver before beginning his career as a journalist and author. Over the course of his life, Grayson wrote more than twenty books – many of which were based on his own travels around America. He passed away in 1958 at the age of seventy-three.
