Andrew May is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Macquarie University, Sydney. He holds a PhD in Geology from Monash University and has conducted extensive research on the early evolution of life and its impact on the environment. His work has been published in leading scientific journals including Nature, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA, Astrobiology, Icarusand Biological Reviews.
