In this ninth book of the Colony series, we return to the world of cyborgs and their human brides. This time, we follow Reyne Asher as she is claimed by her new cyborg husband and whisked away to his colony on a far-off planet. Reyne is excited for her new life with Cedric, but she soon realizes that things are not always what they seem. The other colonists are cold and distant, and Reyne finds herself longing for home. Worst of all, Cedric seems different than he did in their pre-marriage communications – colder, more robotic. As Reyne struggles to adjust to her new reality, an unforeseen danger threatens the very existence of the colony…and only Reyne can stop it. Will she be able to rise up against insurmountable odds and save her husband – and her new family?
