When the body of a young woman is found in the frozen woods outside Ashland, Ohio, local detective Piper & Porter are called in to investigate. The victim appears to have died from a gunshot wound, but as it get colder and winter sets in, there’s only one thing detectives can be sure of – this won’t be the last death they see. With clues sparse and leads running cold, Piper & Porter team up with FBI agent Will Chase to try and unravel who killed Autumn Brandt and why. But time isn’t on their side – every day brings new dangers for both the victim’s family members and investigators alike. Can they catch the killer before another person dies? Or will winter take them all down? I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
