Jill Heinerth is a Canadian cave diver, explorer and author. She is the first person to dive in all five oceans of the world and has explored over 200 caves. Her work has taken her to some of the most remote and dangerous places on earth, including Antarctica, which she crossed by dog sled in 2001. Into the Planet is her second book; her debut memoir, Swimming with Sharks, was published in 2003.
