The Great Hunt is the second book in The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Robert Jordan was born in 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina. He taught himself to read when he was four years old and soon began writing stories. Later, he served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the United States Army. After returning home, he pursued a career as an author. His works include The Wheel of Time series and the historical novel entitled Crossroads of Twilight . Robert Jordan passed away in 2007.
