Pros :
- The story is beautifully written, pulling the reader into the emotions of Clay and AJ
- It’s a LGBTQ+ love story that isn’t just about sex or coming out
- it’s a real romance with ups and downs that will make you root for Clay and AJ to succeed
- The settings (the music festivals, the cookouts by the river) are wonderfully described and add another layer of atmosphere to an already fantastic book
Cons :
- The book Wolfsong is a tender and lush love story between Clay ans AJ that might be fantastic to some readers, but left me wanting more from the writing.
- The author spent too much time on developing the setting and atmosphere of the story rather than focusing on character development which I found frustrating at times.
- I also would have liked to see less telling and more showing in order for readers to feel even closer connected emotionally to Clay and AJ’s journey as lovers.
