I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a little bit of self-acceptance and empowerment, especially those within the LGBTQ+ community.

Jessamyn Stanley is a yoga teacher, body positive advocate and author of the book “Yoke: My Yoga of Self-Acceptance.” Jessamyn began her career as a yoga instructor in 2012 and quickly gained notoriety for her candid Internet videos that showed her practicing at home, out of doors and alongside other notable teachers. She has been featured by The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Cosmopolitan Magazine, ELLE Canada and more. Jessamyn’s classes focus on embodiment through breath work combined with attention to anatomical alignment. In 2016 she was honored as one of TIME magazine’s Next Generation Leaders for her work in promoting body positivity.
